Hi all, I just purchased a new(to me) Sony WM-3. I put new belts in, repaired a loose wire, did a little cleaning. The issue I'm having is it seems like the tape mechanism isn't moving as far as it should to contact the pinch roller when you press play, and the head is not fully contacting the tape. Also it spins fine with no tape in, but when I put a tape in it sounds like a gear isn't meshed properly and spins erratically. Any ideas on what could be going on?
Yes. I will when I get home from work this afternoon. I couldn't see anything stuck. But now it acts like the play button isn't engaging at all.
