So nice Kent, like I've said, as a young member on the forum the Nakamichi's were the tape I wanted to find in the wild. I've found all kinds of other high end tapes, lot's of metal tapes still in the wrapper but never a Nakamichi. I don't think I was overreaching, Minnesota was an audio hot bed in the 70's and 80's with several manufacturers including 3M.

Indeed, those Nak cassettes were all actually TDK manufactures, cream of the crop tape stock, and custom labels. A classic collaboration betw Nakamichi of Japan and TDK of Japan. There are a few remaining, if you know where to look in cyberspace. Expensive items .....

    Cheers,

    Bleus de Nakker

    Hi Kent,
You’ve got what would easily qualify as the ultimate NOS cassette tape collection. You’ve got variety, quality and even quantity! It’s siper amazing!!
I’ve been away for a while and I thought I was going to post some pics of my collection and then I saw your postings... so I decided it was time to pack my bags.
Please do let me know if you are sometimes interested in selling some of your excess tapes.
Congratulations in compiling such an amazing high end selection of tapes!
    Cheers!

Thanks for your reply.I've collected blank cassettes for many years and still working in progress.I want to commemorate my youth by collecting Walkmans and blank cassettes and many other analog music equipments.
But now,I live in Vancouver most of the year, all of my collections are stored at my home in China.I have many excess tapes but have never sold them.Maybe someday in the future I will do it when I'm have more time.
If you are also interested in collecting blank cassettes, maybe we can exchange our collections.
    Cheers!

I wonder if Kent is still around collecting. This cassette section seems to get little traffic.

I think he was on the old-old forum, disappeared for several years then came back to repost what was lost. Hopefully he comes back with more photos of his collection and museum.

joel eidbo - "New Member" I love that, one of the first to rejoin on the new forum 10 years ago is still considered a new member.

Over the past two years, while continuing my collection, I have also been improving my museum and database. I hired a professional team to take photos and build the database, and the work is still ongoing. I have already taken more than 100,000 photos, each of which requires post-processing, and there is also a large amount of text and image data to scan. I estimate that there will be at least another six months of work to be done. I often want to post some photos here, but because I am not very good at posting and uploading images (it requires selecting photos, adjusting sizes, etc.), and many images are not yet organized, I have been putting it off. However, I will systematically post some photos in the near future. The posts I posted on the forum before were of poor quality, and the items in my collection were incomplete. I think I can repost some better posts to share with everyone in the future. Please stay tuned, thank you.
