ION has had a boombox on their website for at least a year or longer but I've never seen one for sale, it looks like they just released this model, maybe to Best Buy? I've got the Job Rocker and love it, it's heavy as hell with it's rechargeable battery and can go for a few hours at full blast. The AM/FM tuner kind of stinks but at least it has a radio, I find myself using bluetooth internet radio/music over my phone much more. I'm tempted to get one of these, the VU meters are bitchin but the controls on the top are sort of low-level 80's Sanyo. It does look straight out of the 80's and would be hard to tell it wasn't except the VU are dated and do look a little out of place. Something for the beach where I can pop in an SD card would be cool I'm happy with my Job Rocker's Battery, I have to believe this one is pretty nice as well and hopefully last a few hours. I quite like the look of it!...........Very early 80's 'Generic' looking if you know what I mean! I would say it looks quite promising as long as the cassette playback is acceptable........ I have a few real mini's from this era & can see where the inspiration for the design came from!! The VU meters are unnecessary & unfortunate, simply not needed as there looks like a set of nice little 'Opposing left & right' Led meters are also present! Am thinking as I write this that I want one! For what it costs I would buy one if they come to Europe & the UK..............
