I just found a Panasonic RQ-337 at a Goodwill(as I just posted on the Finds subforum) and it has the worst battery corrosion I've seen in my life!(mostly because I mostly work with stuff that plugs into a wall) It kinda sorta maybe stained the plastic, and one of the three battery prongs is totally covered in hardened blue goo. Any idea how to get rid of that?

A cotton bud with some 99% Isopropyl alcohol will help a lot.

Battery corrosion is alkaline material and you need something acidic to clean it. The best option is to mechanically remove the thick material with a blade and whatever is left over use vinegar to clean. you can also use baking soda and water

When it is Real Bad, then I desolder the parts and soak them for a few hours/days in LCR (Lime Calcium Rust, but sometimes marked as CLR) usually found under the kitchen sink :) ... if not then in most stores among bathroom cleaning supplies
