Here You Go Buddy [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Just over 3 hours to sort it [IMG]

It was quite poorly [IMG] But patience won it over - had to put it aside & take a break as stress levels crept up & swear words were emitted [IMG]

All works as it should now.............

I even cleaned it up for you [IMG]

Classic track from 1982 with a booming bass line [IMG]

It's the auto level in my Samsung S7 that makes it sound like that!

The bass is deep on this beauty but it's a bit forced - that's the way things were going at that time, an acquired taste for sure - Rory will love it :) it sounds great overall, capturing that is not easy with my phone o_O

    No No No!!

Just the odd repair here & there - am in reality too unwell to do it every day, so as long as I take it slowly I can complete some repairs! I still love doing it, it's simply the brain damage that the stroke did killed off a lot of my thought processes :( I think I can still do everything but in reality, I just can't...............

Only way is to take things slowly & enjoy the satisfaction of a stereo blasting again like this one :)

I still like cassette mechanism problems best as I u/stand a lot about the format & have always loved it - the humble cassette still amazes me when a good recording is played on a boomer that can produce a good dynamic range :)

Younger generation don't know what they are missing - proper turntables real quality cassette decks etc can still deliver!!

The fact that you are intelligent enough to understand your limitations tells me your doing just fine Nick, I encounter contractors everyday with supposedly no issues that dont understand their limitations.... they just blunder on regardless.

That and the fact that the old S2G would of been pretty quiet without your posts, i always look forward to them so keep em coming. Your repairs seem top notch to me. ;)
