I have been a big fan of Rick Astley's work for several years, and am very glad to see the resurgence in popularity that he has had since his album '50' released back in 2016. Since then he has release two more albums (this included), as well as a fair few singles in between. I had heard that his previous album, Beautiful Life, had also received a limited cassette release but was very pleased to see that he is selling a bundle of a 2 CD set and the cassette for this new album together for £20, which is quite good value in my eyes. No doubt the tape will be a normal bias and I'll have to see how good it is for myself in terms of quality, but I am still very happy to see some artists choosing to release their music in this medium, niche as it may still be. Hopefully more people will be willing to dip their toes into tape soon, as long as this ferric oxide shortage doesn't last too long.

I'm a very big fan of his, he has a very varied body of work ranging from classic 80's pop, R&B, a few standards, electronic/dance and much more! Well I'm sorry to report that the tape was a dud, a limited release to boot... My recently serviced Technics that plays all tapes perfectly (or as perfectly as my ears can tell) ATE this one up! Imagine my shock when the tape I've waited for with bated breath is unspooled horribly inside my deck! Anyway after carefully taking it out, fast forwarding/rewinding it a few times and leaving it in a warm room (out of the sunlight) the tape is in better shape now but I almost had a heart attack seeing that. I've taken great measures to make sure such a thing never happens to me again so I was really taken aback. It's playing audio fine but I've contacted the sellers anyway as I expect brand new tapes to not unspool like that inside a perfectly good deck. It'll give me a bit of peace of mind to know that I haven't been entirely duped.
Hi sorry for the late reply, yes I bought this from his store and it was a limited release only. I had a bit of a scare with the tape though so it's not played often, but still plays fine. It's just nice to have new releases on tape too.
