I have one of the 250 1oth anniversary Tiffany silver-plated walkman that I want to get operable so I thought joining this site would be helpful and interesting.
That's a great way to start, if your comfortable feel free to share the history, we've heard some interesting stories over the years but it's understandable if you don't want to. Most of these were shelf queens and well taken care of but just about every unit from the early 90's needs a new belt and a quick check of the rollers to make sure they don't look glazed over and feel rock hard.
Thanks for the welcome, Mister X. Yes, this was a shelf queen. I was one of the original recipients of this limited edition and never tried using it until a few days ago, only to find it in need of being made operable. Any suggestions as to who would be capable of doing this well? Thanks again.

Boodokhan loves the personal cassette players and might have some repair business suggestions for you. I work on my equipment myself, messing around with broken electronics and fixing them is very satisfying for me but I'm not an expert. There is a list of repair people in the Walkman Section somewhere, I've never used one so I don't know where to direct you.
