Hi I had a birthday recently and got a sharp GF 666 arriving

I’m into 80s rock and guitar . I also have one of those little Aldi’s boomboxes that techmoan reviewed on his channel. Can’t wait for my new GF to arrive .

My main passion is my music which consists of Bon Jovi ,def leppard , Dokken Ratt Guns n roses, bang tango, poison ,Aerosmith,Rolling Stones , kixx, Cinderella ,faster pussycat la guns , skid row ,bullet boys.

All the 80s bands. Plus stuff like toto ,Mr mister , jan hammer ,Jim i Jamison ,Stan bush .

I will definitely have to put some grandmaster flash , Newcleus , sugarhill gang on my new box as it’s just gotta be done .

    Stay frosty . . . Paul

Welcome Paul. I have the GF555 which, given the number that appear on ebay, seems to have been a popular model in the UK.
I am not sure what the difference is as it looks to be very similar to the GF666.

Thanks guys , yes they do appear to be the same in most features . I’m excited to be getting it, they are popular but I don’t remember seeing many for sale plus at the time the cost would have been phenomenal to me .
I got a Phillips later on about 85 with detachable speakers but it wasn’t really what I call a classic like the GF series shapes from the 4646 to the 777. Pleased to be here.

Welcome Mr Leppard! Love the music, I've seen all of the HM bands on your list several times, I just went to KISS & David Lee Roth on Monday. I tend to like most music and if they're here live I'll see them. My vote is for Grand Master Flash on the new box, hands down one of the all time best rap groups. When I get a new piece of audio I kinda go through a ritual of which song gets played first, GMF is always on the short list.

Awesome. Dave has a great band with him even if he is not his old self still worth seeing . Skyscraper is one of my all time favourite albums. Yes the message is a great track but aren’t they all.

He only played "Just Like Paradise" from that album, 11 songs total. I don't expect any of these guys to have the range they did, I just like seeing live music and some of these bands were impossible to see when they were on top. He always seems to be in a good mood, and so many one-liners, I love that he picks players from cover bands for back-up. I guess they aren't really cover bands anymore?
