Hey Guys, hope you are all doing well! I am new to this forum because i have a few questions about my hobby and i hope to get some of them answered! Stay Safe! Dennis
Welcome Dennis, we've had quite a few members from Germany over the years including HiFi Tom, he had a huge collection of "HiFi" boomboxes, some of the best, I look at his old threads for inspiration on what to look for, Jens, he knew every boombox made, and the guy that had the huge wall of boomboxes, it was like 10' high by 20' long. You guys had a lot of good equipment over there.
Hello there! Sound guite interesting. I recently got into this hobby, because cassette were always a part of my Childhood and i really like to record my own mixtape for myself friends an family it is quite a lot of fun. But sadly i dont have anyone, who is as much into this hobby as i am in my area so i figured this is the best place to talk to people, who have the same interests as me.
Welcome! Pretty sure you've found a good place here. I know that feel, mixtapes aren't as much appreciated these days mostly because people have excessive access to music through streaming and no playback device for tapes. And then there's the prejudice of bad tape sound of course. In fact, tapes have also been a major part of my childhood too.
Hi Sly! I usually listen to my music with spotify too. But sometimes i am in the mood for cassettes and then i select one of my favourite mixtapes, pop it in my Sony WM-EX672 Walkman and just enjoy the music in such a different way compared to spotify
Well said! Same here, when I want to ‘feel’ the tune I move my old arse, put an LP onto a turntable (Thank You, @Boodokhan!) and dissolve into ‘the groove’... Tidal works for me, but the magic of analog replay is just that: Magic!
