Question - I have a pristine Sony WM DD33 - when you open cover door, is there many to be just a tiny amount of play / space between the door and the tape head carriage, or are the ends of the tape carriage meant to "tuck under" the clear plastic in the door - there appear to be a couple of tabs but not sure. From pics I've seen, I think they do NOT tuck under and my unit's as it's meant to be.
As far as i can remember, it does not go under the door. It's meant to have a bit of play. I would check but i think i have given all my DD33's away.
Thanks, well, from TooCool4 and David, it seems all is in order and there IS meant to be a bit of play between door and head carriage and the carriage ends do NOT tuck under the clear plastic - which makes sense, as I can't see how they'd fit anyway. Thanks so much - this is a great site/forum!
