    Hi all,

I'm happy to become a part of Stereo2Go! I created a profile so I could ask questions about the Walkmans I am restoring. I started with a WM-3. That old technology was built to last forever. Just needed new belts, some resoldering on the mic, a new battery clasp, and a good cleaning. Otherwise, I have mostly restored a WM-10, and am in the process of breathing some life back into an old WM-F5.

Other than that, I am a lover of good music--and with that, naturally comes a love of vintage stereo equipment. As we all know, the older it is, the longer it was made to last (plus it looks cool and sounds incomparable!).

Anyway, thanks for reading. Hopefully now I can go ask some questions about my projects!

    Best,

    Jack

    welcome aboard jaxupinski
WM-3 is durable walkman, Its the easiest one to repair among the 3 walkmans you own. WM-10 sounds easy but might give you a lot of problems fixing it.
WM-5 is one of the most durable walkman units available. Obviously you need to change the central gear.
good luck fixing your walkman units.

Welcome, it's always nice to have members that aren't afraid to open up the units, nowadays most seem to need a little maintance but they were really built to last a long time.
