Hi all, My name is Matt, a hands-on electronics engineer based in the UK. I am mostly interested in Sony Walkman's and Aiwa personal stereo's but I also have a Sharp GF-7400E Boombox from my childhood that I'm considering upgrading and adding a few features. I have two Aiwa's that I bought new back in the day, a HS-G35 and a HS_PL555. The G07 has only required a belt and quick clean to get working but the PL555 required a full strip down and all electrolytic capacitors replacing but surprisingly the belt is original. In the past year I have restored a Sony WM_DD33, a D6C and an EX618. All work really nicely now so I've just bought a faulty WM30 to keep me busy!
