Great gift! I love those Superscope Boomboxes so much, I just bought another one a few days ago. Feel free to post anything, most of us love cars and anything to do with audio, the cool thing is you could post a 78 Vega and since the forum is truely worldwide, a lot of the membership might never have seen one before. I think there's a thread somewhere with cars in it but I can't remember if it's buried in the forum archives (the forum reader) or if someone restarted it.
Welcome. A "Superscope - by Marantz" Boombox was the very first stereo box I ever saw here in the U.K. Way beyond what I could afford at the time though. Two or three years later I did get the bottom of the range Sony CFS45L which, as I pointed out in my very first post here was 1/6th of the price of my new Honda Motorbike (bought at around the same time) but still cheaper than those Superscopes.
