Their website is still up and going and here's a link to the Nakamichi Belts. I've never ordered from them, they've been around forever, but after the death of the founder there seems to be some growing pains and complaints amoung the forum communities. Our site sponsor might be able to help you https://fixyouraudio.com/ I've used Turntable Needles, the belts arrived quickly and they have a great sizing database. https://www.turntableneedles.com/reach_a_live_turntable_technician_by_phone http://marrscommunications.com/nakamichi-factory-cassette-belts Here's another one I've keeped in my tabs but haven't used yet. https://www.vintage-electronics.net/anakamichibeltkits.aspx
Yes! I bought a belt for my Yamaha deck from Marrscommunications a few months ago. For the Nak deck that would be the only place to get a belt, but you have to be patient with Krista and pay by check
Hi! Great thanks for Your help! I’m familiar with Turntableneedles.com since my Walkman belts bargains but there are discussions on the forums that only Marrs belts mets the spec? The vintage site don’t ship to Sweden.
Hi, @nakamichi In Dec 2012 I bought two replacement belt kits for my 670ZX from Marrs Communications, and used one of them to replace the original (!) 45-years-old belts in the deck. The original belts were still working great, but I figured preventive maintenance is a good thing. Mr. Marrs called them "Factory Kits" and I believe the quality matches the original Nakamichi belts. I've attached a picture of the extra kit on the left and the original belts on the right. The idler tyre broke when I removed it. Everything fit like a glove. All I did afterwards was to adjust the speed. Since it's been about 8 years now, the deck has seen regular use without any problem whatsoever. It's as stable as the day I installed the new belts. I'm looking forward to another 45 years of service. HTH, Virgil
