    Hi all,

It's been ages since i've been on this forum. Years atleast. So during this COVID crap that is going on around the globe i'm wondering how things have been for international shipments. I would assume some of you have bought items from international sellers. How bad are the delays in shipment? Since i've had a lot of time to reflect during these trying times, I decided to dust off all of my Walkmans in storage to see if they still worked :). Got my Walkman itch back. There goes the $$$$$!!!! Hope you are all well!!

I would imagine it depends on both the sending and destination country. Last month I ordered a phono pre-amp from Israel, despite them waring that delivery could take a couple of months. It turned up in about ten days.

Depending on who you use, it should not take too long now. I ordered a new made to order motor for my turntable, it was finished and it was posted out from Germany last Friday and it arrived to me yesterday Tuesday so only took 5 days. They used UPS.

Now 6 weeks and counting since the tires for the restoration of an Aiwa L30 were mailed from Slovakia (not from Marian Mihok / FYA, I hasten to add!) to the UK, thence to begin their long extra journey courtesy of NZ Post's "overseas shopping" services to me here in New Zealand (Slovakia Post would not even try to send direct to NZ). The rest of the Aiwa System 30 including the cabinet, speakers, and the plastic rear cover with wiring diagram, waits gathering dust while nothing happens...

It varies a lot; something from South America took a month, but part of that was customs. Asia seems to vary wildly. I have a Fedex from the US that is stuck in a warehouse for 3 days for no apparent reason, haha!
