as i posted the other day, after many years i could convince the owner of a Porsche- garage to swap his Superscope CRS-4803S for a kaboom - it was today that i powered it the 1st time: yeah - it works in basic - unexpectedly the pots are almost non-scratchy, off course cassette doesn‘t work, ss it can be seen on pic for a looong time: well, it‘ll be a while untill i have time to clean it properly, but even thoug i think it might be a thing to keep it as is - what do you folks say ? shall i restore it or keep it as is ? anyway, this 1979 box sounds extremely good, honestly ! i love it ! ...and as if it was planned: radio is playing „gangsta‘s paradise“ right now - as if it pays tribute
folks, any hint for a manual is apprechiated, i‘m busy restoring but have a problem to take it apart, don‘t know how t get the front off and don‘t want to break anything...
finally got it ...two days of work, i know it's not splendid but as much as i'm concerned, patina is allways allowed. just didn't have the perfect belts ready but ordered them, both decks work perfect with some (too thin) provisoric ones (a bit yawly)... it's fun throwing in a tape on the side and having the "MECHA II" tape running indicator led's flashing this box is LOUD, this box is HEAVY, this box is a BEAUTY and definitively a KEEPER
