Finally, it's weekend! Now I can shift my attention to my newly arrived Analog Fidelity FE-90 cassette tapes from De Bandjesfabriek that I ordered at MFBFreaks. When I'm done recording I'll upload the result.
Analog Fidelity FE-90 cassette tape playing Joy Division on a UNIC RV-52 radio cassette recorder Joy Division - Shadowplay I did the direct recording for this video to loud, there is distortion because of that, so it's me, not the cassette! The recording of the Analog Fidelity cassette tape from my JVC TD-W201did just fine, the sound quality is great! I'll upload a next video playing the Analog Fidelity tape from the TD-W201 cassette deck. And adjust the video-recording loudness too to avoid distortion.
Ok, so I promised to make a better video-sound recording. I think this time I got the sound recording for video right. My findings on the Analog Fidelity FE-90 cassette tape: I am very very pleased on how my TD-W201 managed to record on the Analog Fidelity tape. Especially how it grabs base and warmth. The Analog Fidelity let's me hear new things. A rich sound, exploring and discover the song as if it was the first time. Exactly what listening music on cassette tape is about! Enjoy! By the name it seems to me it's really BASF old stock tape. And seeing they are also selling chrome tape too, I am more convinced about that. Any ideas or information about it?
@walkman archive: the chrome tapes are Basf Chrome Maxima II and the ferro tapes are 'standard formula ferro tapes', the 'pancakes' for the ferro tapes are as I understand new produced & delivered by RTM. To know for sure it's best to contact De Bandjesfabriek
