I was try to measuring the component, is difficult because it is damaged. I put it up to another component to make me an idea. It's seems bigger than sot353, it approches closely to sot 23-5. I'm searching if there is any available part.

Silver965, it's a good idea but I don't know if I have enough skills to build it and soldering then. As I'm understand is a piece compound of 5 resistors with the same value.

Or four 1N4148 diodes with their cathodes joined together.
:nwink: you could even solder one in place just to see if the button starts working

and just a test to see if it works ... 4 diodes soldered on the buttons and output on the transistor at least check the operation ... if in case you do not find the original part it could be the solution

I don't think you wired the diodes correctly.
The anode connections look ok but the cathodes (with black stripe) should all be joined together and be connected to the transistor collector pin.
    Check Silver965's drawing again :)

Following Silver965 instructions, conecting diodes to the transistor base

Et voilá! Every button responding as it should!
Hoewer when I press play, tape stars to run and I can hear, high and clear, the sound trought one channel (taking in mind there are two caps desoldered), but after a few seconds the mecanism stops. Same result if I try again.

The test has been done as seem in the pictures with the pcb removed from the mecanism, I think this can cause the issue.

Now I have to found the way to mount it all together again withou affecting any componet and interfering with the mecanism to test it properly

ooo finally good news .... at least now you know it works ... if you do not find the original part you will have to adopt this system but you will have to miniaturize it as much as possible ... the fact that it stops is due to the fact that the motion sensor of the mechanical and soldered on the circuit and until you reassemble everything will give you this problem

I could at least hear this unit, a nice incredible sound! Very powerfull and detailed sound. BBE and DSL combinated offers a lot of adjustments in sound, the experience is totaly different as sony.'s megabass or Panasonic S-XBS. Fortunately the belt is ok, I don't know if the prior owner changes it or just the rubber is exceptionally good. Smooth and stable movement, you can walk with the unit in the pocket without any rumble.

One curiosity, the buttons oppers it doesn't matter the remote switch position. I don't know if due to the fact the buttons are directly connected to the transistor.:nwink:

One remainig issue, the side B plays well , however side A the sound of the right channel ok, but the letf channel's is very low. By the moment it´s ok for while I can enjoy 100% the side B,

Silver965, Mattb1970, many thanks for all your efforts and appointment, I couldn't do it without you!:emoji_blush:

Great news to hear you got it working.
You'll be very attached to that device now you've invested so much time and effort into it!
The good thing about this forum is that you can learn from lots of people's experiences, so thanks Silver965 for sharing your knowledge :)

Recently I ordered a new belt for the Aiwa, no significant wow & flutter but I'd prefer to get a new one. Searching on internet I found that the belt is the same as the Aiwa's HS.JX505 one. When it arrived I noticed that the new one is thickness than the older. I installed but the new one skip when I press play and doesnt't run the mecanisms. So I reinstalled the older one

However a good new, when I was assemblig all again I noticed that the flexible wire that connects the head to the pcb had a little crack on the fwd left channel's pad, I resoldered it again and now the sound on the left channel, which it was a remaining issue, is recovered! I thouhgt the problem was a bad cap or a head dissalignment, sometimes we perplex the problems and don't mind the obviuos!
