From the very bottom of my basement... This is my other "Boombox" - not sure if it even deserves the name. Got it from my granny long, long time ago. There is no analog broadcast anymore for the TV and I think the tape decks are not working. It has a kind of "sound" which even does not deserve the name sound. As far as I remember it was also sold under the brand "Elin". It is dirty and has a lot of scratches but maybe I should do some restoration. Added a line in connector as a kind of modification. btw. people are crazy and try to sell it for US$1,539 ??? Nobody can be so stupid. https://www.ebay.com/itm/TENSAI-RTC...292498?hash=item2af498f992:g:RFcAAOSwqDpfHvfe
Daniela, if you like these types of boxes look at my TV on the radio thread, I use a Blonder Tongue Transmitter to get video. They used to use those in buildings so all of the TVs would show the same information and now you can get them for cheap on Ebay. Your model looks very similar to the Soundesign 4873 or kind of like the Goldstar KMA-0702 (or 0703). The Goldstar has an added EQ. I was looking at the Goldstar on Ebay, there's a roached out one for really cheap. The Tensai was made in Korea, I wonder if they're part of Goldstar, we never got the Korean Electronics over here until the early 90's. The TV boomboxes never really caught on in the US, the first generation was ultra-expensive and then the Watchman came out followed by the larger screen Casio Color LED Portables. I think a lot of these ended up in the mancave for sporting events, guys were already listening to the radio, the TV was a nice bonus.
These are fun little radios.sound isnt all that great but I remember mine when the tv still worked.such a cool thing to add a TV to a boombox.
