Having bought it on DVD some years ago, mainly because it was filmed at the College I went to, I have just watched the very first episode of Casualty dating from 1986. Behind the fake entrance is where I learnt metalwork. The interior scenes were filmed in a studio. Five minutes into the programme, after a tough discussion about the future of the department the Department director gets out his personal stereo. When his antagonist comes back he just turns up the volume. At the end of the programme the ward staff are discussing what he listens to. One of them has found out it is Richard Clayderman (not that there is anything wrong with that).
