Hello, my name is Flo, I am 32 yaars old and I found my old Sony Walkman WM 150 an a AIWA HS RX705. I want to service these and think I can need your help here! I hope you are all doing well! Nice to have those international forums! I always feel like everything could be so easy (on a higher level), when writing in such forums with people from all over the world. Stay happy, Flo
welcome to forum @Boiled_frog There are some topics about fixing WM-150 that can help you, this one specifically show you how to fix the clutch repair which is very common with this model: http://www.stereo2go.com/forums/threads/walkman-150-clutch-repair.628/ I don't have any AIWA HS-RX705, But AIWA walkman units are famous for capacitor leak. I don't know your level of expertise but if you need help the best way to explain it is by placing some pictures and hopefully you will get some answers.
Thanks for your answer! I already saw the different repair topics about the WM-150 and I found a purchaser for the belts and this tiny clutch-thing. I will also change the two caps even if they are okay. I didn't find much about the AIWA HS-RX705. Is there a similar type? I found, that the belt replacement should be easy. Also about the caps. I have a different issue on this AIWA. The headphone socket seems to be crap. When I plug the jack in, there is not always connection. Only when I hold it in one Position, i get connection on both sides. This is also the case with the original AIWA headphones. Can I change this part? I think I will open a new threat about this.
