I. Came across this Auction on eBay for three Walkman I have never seen before . They are all Toshiba kt-as10 walkman stereo cassette playerand they certainly are not cheap but they all seem to have half the cassette sticking out from the unit while they are playing the tape. I have posted the link below. Does anyone have one of these and if so how do they operate to play the tape? I had one in red 50 pounds i sent it back as it was just low end sound.........what is the guy smoking, the cassette sticks out when in use, it's not very practical at all
I have several of them. You insert the cassette inside, part of the cassette (the bottom part) sticks out of player but doesn't mean it falls. TOSHIBA made this WALKY to compete with other brands in making cassette player smaller. The price range for this walkman is much lower than what this seller placed on ebay
These are really cool looking and very small, the door is open on the sides and top for the tape to fit in or it came with a radio cartridge that fits in perfectly. I'd love for them to get silly money but you could buy dozens at that price.
i have some of them (different colours). they‘re pretty cool in a vitrine and nice to have bit have no practical use at all, at least when you use‘em with a cassette. sound is ok but not great. even when new they mainly sold for the gimmick with the sticking out cassette. anyway: to me a must have on the collection but that one is far, far, faaaar overpriced
