Im planing to change my curent onkyo ta-6511 deck, its ok, no problems, but its two head, i want 3 head, dolby s not do important for me.
im looking at sony tc-ke500s for sale at 100eu, but its single capstan and belt drive.
or onkyo ta-2060 for 150eu, this as i understand doesnt have built in tone generator for bias calibration but have bias knob, but its direct drive, not shure about capstands but for me looks much nicer than sony.
Or denon dr-m33 hx for 140eu, this is dual capstan, closed loop suspect without tone generator (i dont see calibration button).
So i wonder, if budget is limited, wich of specs is more importent for quality of recorded tape sound?

Choose the one that you can still get parts for and can be readily serviced, hence the life span of the unit will be short.

    Hello

I'm also looking for new HI-FI stuff. I don't know if I have to post a new thread or if I can just ask here, but here goes. Does anyone has any experince or expertise in the AKAI AA 1150 Receiver and the AKAI GMC 709D..?
