I can't find any info on the interwebs about this unit. It is very cool looking and has 6 speakers. Unitech cx470 20210607_180650.jpg

Do you have the Goodmans model number? What do you think about this boombox?

Goodmans Powermaster SW850, good sound on the radio, i don't know about the tape decks as it needs new belts when i get around to it.

Just noticed that yours is single deck where as mine is twin deck, so not exactly the same model.

Doing my Singapore Newspaper Trawling, I'd say Unitech was the manufacturer, once I get through the ads, which might take forever, I'll start looking for articles on the manufacturing side, a ton of companies out-sourced to Singapore starting around 1974. Unitech didn't get a lot of love but the little portable I have is very well built but, like your model, there's a bunch of AKA's (also known as). As far as I know Unitech was based in Japan.

Cool box, I'd love to see one up close.

Scratch off Japan, the Unitech name was widely used in Asia and India for different companies, the one we want is out of Korea, here's a cool blog post on the company and a comment by a former employee?
"UNITECH is a brand name that UNI PACIFIC Trading, established by Yoon-gil Lee, a Korean-American, sourcing from Korea and attached to electronic products sold to the United States . We dealt with a wide range of products from radios to VTRs."
