There's always good audio equipment on CHiPs.

Wait, that's a Crown? Well, at least we know they didn't spend much of the budget on it.:nonoplease

Got that right here Reli! Just kiddin, no idea, it was on Amazon Prime for awhile and they were good background noise for the shop. Officer Jon isn't in the photo so it was whatever year he was holding out for a bigger paycheck......

Actually, he left by the final season. Said the stories were getting too ridiculous and removed from the actual work real-life CHPs (Like the late Ken Osmond) would do.

Given Grossman is in the shot, I'm guessing the one in the final season... where Donny Most (Ralph Malph on "Happy Days") played a KISS-esque "heavy-metal" frontman named Moloch, whom was falling near victim of several murder attempts setup by his greedy producer, played by Adam West. (Television's Bruce Wayne/Batman from the 60's live-action series) The biggest laugh about is the supposed use of auto-reverse triggering on tapes to play a sinister, prophetic message about each attempt.
While driving down the highway, listening to a tape of his band... just before the car "disobeys" his control and starts filling with smoke:
"Moloch must die... Moloch must die...."

While in the studio, explaining to Ponch & Bruce an upcoming video shoot, he plays a tape of the song it's for and:
"Moloch WILL die... Moloch WILL die...."

"Grossie" found when Moloch's latest album was played backwards, at--get this--66-1/6rpm (666... get it?) this one played:
"Moloch is dead, with his fiery breath... Moloch is dead, with his fiery breath...."

Needless to say, Ponch helps save-the-day... and the producer admits--while tape is rolling--that he was behind it, and why he did it.

Not one of the best CHiPs episodes, but certainly quite interesting... especially since Cassandra Peterson (A.k.a.: "Movie Macabre" host Elvira, Mistress of the Dark) makes an appearance!:nwink:
