I have a Sony WM-F601 Walkman for sale. It includes a rechargeable battery with charger. The belt has been replaced recently and the old grease has been cleaned off of the gears, the gears have not been oiled. It is in great condition. Auto reverse works when at the end of a tape. Radio works perfectly. Azimuth might need to be adjusted and the speed might need to be fine tuned, both of these adjustments can be done without taking apart the walkman. https://www.ebay.com/itm/393555597425
Nice unit! The flat back is very similar to the 700 series back. Wonder why the B602-B603 have the weird battery bulge instead of the more appealing design this player has. Hope it sells well.
Looks very nice, but well out of my price range. For $300 I would expect the device to be fully overhauled, parts that haven't failed yet but are known as unreliable (caps, gears) replaced, all parameters (azimuth, audio level, balance between the channels) adjusted, and as much data as possible (frequency response, tape speed, wow & flutter) provided for a potential customer. It would be super-nice to see an accompanying video like this, although I take issue with this guy adjusting tape speed but not showing wow & flutter results, and some of the walkmans he overhauled do not sound right to me.
