ok folks, i have to show off a little:

yesterday i boight a real gem: stereo hifi equipment from the early era - a stereo tube amplifier „the Fisher X-100A“ and a Thorens TD124 (mk1) with original Thorens BTD12 arm. both pieces nicely fitted in some very well and extra for those components made solid wood furniture with walnut-veneer.
the amp got 5 ECC83 and two pairs 7189 vacuum-tubes (good for ~20W per channel) and is almost excellent (well, i haven‘t powered it up as i want to replace caps first), in 1965 this was one of the best stereo-amps you could buy…

…same with the Thorens (came with two identical headshells incl. pick-ups: a Shure M55 and some rare vintage Pickering, both with good needles. also needs to be serviced first, finally this hifi-milestone will allow me the one or other nice vinyl-intermission in my new office…

more pics to follow soon - just thought, this quick pic behind a nice sportscar kicks ass ;-)

What album is that on the turntable?, it's on the Vertigo space label, could it be "Autobahn" by Kraftwerk?, I've got that on all formats because I use it as a stereo tester and it's fantastic for this - apart from being a brilliant album.

I've got an all Kenwood stack system except for the Pure DAB tuner, the turntable is the Kenwood KD66F but it hasn't got a lid/dust cover, anyone got one of these? It needs to be 40.5 x 35 x 4cm with a sloping front - hinges would be good too. I have posted a picture of my turntable.

That must be a big living room if you can park your car in it and it looks like a big car too!

NICE!!! I ogled $1.5k console at our local Consignment store, it had a power plug (so, presumably, 19??) and a box of new bamboo needles for the TT...
It was gone within a week, so there is more audio-nuts in Malibu than just me o_O

At NaimAudio chatroom this is the TT which made a splash among the folks who show off their overpriced beauties there:

Absolutely stunning!... but I must admit @autoreverser beats this with the 'room treatment' paraphernalia :) !!! I even asked my son who is into cars and such, and he does not know either, his response - 'maybe new Corvette?' He is getting OLD! :(

ha, we used to have a great thread (ages ago):“what cars do you guys drive“

after all this is (hopefully) not a platform just for portable hifi, this should be about a general attitude/lifestyle or however you wanna call it. unfortunately many of that got lost over the last years…UNFORTUNATELY

It is unfortunate that the forums search is so bad. Just use Google instead and you will find most threads.

I use my shop set-up more than my home equipment since I practically live out there and it's where a ton of it sits. Keep up the awesome photos it keeps me motivated.
