Hi, I'm Cindy. I have a bit of audio equipment that I used in the 70's. Some I would like to put to use - other I want to get to someone who is interested and knows more than me. I found the site while searching for info on my original cd player a Denon DCP-100. I think the first stereo type system my husband and I had was reel to reel .
Welcome Charrity, The Denon is a wonderful little player, our member Jorge loves it. The market is hot for vintage audio equipment right now, I've been collecting for years and even stuff like cassette tapes decks are finding love again. Reel to reel is also a nice format, I've got several machines around here. At one time they were also considered boat anchors but now they've also got a following. Personally I think people like music coming from "gadgets" better than a soul-less phone or laptop. Luckily you can still find blank tapes, I just saw a stack of R2R tapes yesterday at an antique store. If you need help determining the value you can PM me, the bigger the item, the more local you'll want to sell it. Unfortunately most equipment needs work these days, either belt replacement or more in depth electronics replacement. Once back in working condition they can outshine most of the contemporary equipment available today.
