Wow, thanks for posting scans of all those great ads, Mister X. I do like small component stacks and, especially, car audio.

Wow a Concord! I've never seen one up close except for the entry-level models. Some of the early 80's models look somewhat complex, it would be interesting to know the history of the company, they were cassette grand-fathers and lasted a long time. All of the buttons are cool, it made you think your older brother was a rocket engineer to dial in the cassette tape for the perfect car sound. I don't think I've seen pitch control on a car deck before?

It's a Concord HPL-506 - probably, one of the best of the AM/FM Cassette head units of the early 80's. Yes, it's a rarity to see a car audio deck with adjustable pitch control. Excellent specs - no doubt due to the cassette transport and sendust head.

Fujitsu Ten Limited 1979, I don't know if there's a connection but the movie "10" came out around this time with Bo Derek.

There's not a lot of Lenco over here, I thought they just made turntables but check out his neat mini-stereo. Just like the Clarion above, the chrome look is kind of cool.

Some more, they're dated 1973, I feel like that should be later but I don't know for sure. The Telefunken Hi-Fi Studio 1M. This looks huge and it's saying 2 x 60 watts.

Sorry I can't read this but did Nakamichi have a mini stereo called the CATHAY KD-100X from 1984? Powered speakers? VU Meters and a NAK deck?

Hitachi Lo-D Jewel Jr. Micro Stereo Catalog. I have to believe the bottom of the case holds a battery compartment but I've never seen the case up close before, does anybody have it?

Sanyo Expandables from 1979, that's a neat looking EQ, the dancing level meters would have been impressive in 79.

Who knew Motorola had a car audio system? This is new for me, I wonder what the quality was, Motorola was making really nice comunication equipment back then. I'd love to see the other components it says are available.

Radio Shack Mini Stereo from 1979, I have several Minimus-7's around here, the little powerhouse speakers that are highly collectable now. This version is all-metal and heavy, I think they are made in Japan. This is a nice looking stereo, I'd love to see one up close, it might make a nice computer sound system.
