Hi everyone ... this week I won this lot
I'm waiting for the package ... as soon as I can, I'll post more photos
    Technisc SL-XP5 / Sanyo CP12 / Sony D-T40 /Philips D 6800-00 / Grundig

I predict that the Technics is working ... I don't think others ... but I took the whole lot because in addition to the Technics that I already have I like the Sanyo that I have never seen up close .... the others I will see what to do with it

Please let me know if Philips has the same problem as what I had with mine: Philips Restoration

Finally arrived ... SL-XP5 as expected and working as soon as I plugged in the power supply ...

Unfortunately the Sanyo and the others show no signs of life ... here are some photos of the Sanyo ...

I really like its battery pack consisting of 2 packs of AA x 6 batteries which can be selected with the A--B switch ...

I thought four AA batteries was the most "portable" CD player used. I was wrong.

Technics is a no-brainer, they all pretty solid! But I did manage to buy a dead one this week, just to stress/check my skills for reviving SL-XP7...
Definitely post your progress with Sanyo, this is one very unique Discman! OR - once/if you give up and decide to sell..... you know where to call - I will get it off your hands ;)

Don't make me kick myself more Jorge, you know how you regret not bidding more on something, I've got like 10 different things. I don't even collect a lot of portable CD's but it was square!

The Sanyo looks like there's rust in the side, maybe it just needs some good sand-papering. If not it will still be a pretty rare shelf-queen.

I will have to find the service manual ... I have already opened it and I assume that someone else has already tried to fix it ... I will do another tred if I can with all possible photos

Definitely Sanyo own design and their own laser, but it looks like they had Sony D-7 (aka D-50 MkII) as a 'blueprint' for the general layout
