Hi everyone! I'm Neil and I have recently acquired a AIWA AX-7600 Receiver and a AIWA AD-6500 Cassette Deck. The receiver works great and I'm just trying bring the Cassette Deck back to life. I'm an electrical/software engineer but with limited experience in Audio Equipment. I'd be really interested to hear from any other AIWA users/restorers.
that deck with its mechanical control should be very easy to re-belt. Much easier than most boomboxes or walkmans. There's so much space inside and everything is high quality, none of it will break when you're inside
