Hello members ! My name is Jerome, I live in France, I grew up with Sony Walkman then I bought my first Discman with the first money I made I was away from the physical audio supports for a long time (more into video, I am also a Blu-Ray and Home Theater enthusiast) but due to my 16-years old son asking me things about the analog music era, I just bought 2 Walkman (a D6 and a D6C) and a bunch of new-old-stock cassettes I heard about the forum by googling about the D6 & D6C. Please to meet you ! Jerome
Hello ! Thank you very much, I would not have thought a fresh set of alkaline could destroy these :O Of course I have put a new set of alkaline in both... :/ I received the two units yesterday, the D6C seems ok for record and playback (except some slip from time to time) but the D6 has speed issues (and the "motor always on" problem...) and sound issues (the amplification is good but the playback seem to come from far away, like low treble and medium, maybe the head ?) I ordered a fresh set of belts & tires, waiting for them to arrive, to resolve the slip issues, but for the electronics I think I will need help in order to avoid destroying anything Have a nice evening ! Jerome
