I have a dead stock new open gold box Aiwa HS-JX303 Ah1 (Color - Black) . Anyone have an idea how amazing the sound is and how great of a tape player this is? How rare of the item is today? I want to charge the battery and put a tape in and press play and listen through my Bose headset. But I do not want to damage this item. Its never been played, batteries never touched this player, the screen is untouched and it's gorgeous.
Hello, This is one of the most amazing players ever made by Aiwa. Probably most of its capacitors are dead and the belt is also worn out, but if you service this unit will give you very good listening moments If you have a AC/DC Aiwa adaptor, you can try initially if the radio works, if the sound is goof and powerful maybe the capacitors are OK, Please keep us informed about your progress
