Discman D211 not working

    My Discman D211 does not work. The motor spins the disc a few times and the laser tries to focus, but the discman never starts to play. The display displays 0 and a flashing colon.

    Anyone can help?

    Any damage to the board from leaking batteries??? If all connections and switches look OK (more than once I had to "fix" a Discman with HOLD switch engaged) then download free service manual from here: Sony D-211 ServiceManual and Good Luck!!!

    Hold switch is already off and everything looks ok. The unit is receiving power..
