Alternative to Sony

Hi, After being on the Sony Walkman merry-go-round for some years, I've now sold them all apart from a couple of D6Cs. I have a little Aiwa PX457 I use, but I'm wondering if anyone made something similar to the WM-D3?. I have a Marantz PMD430 which I preferred to the TCD5 for a portable with a speaker, is there a pocket size WM-D3 equivalent?

 

If you wanna use the walkman as a player, then DC2 is a better option compare to D3
But If you want a unit as small as D3 with recording capability, There is no DD walkman with recording capability. Some AIWA walkman units including J600 Can be you next option.

 

Thanks, I'm trying to get away from Sony, the J600 is just the sort of thing I'm looking for, something a bit different.

 

repairing/ restoring a J600 is not an easy task. But once is fixed the sound quality is great.

 

Don't tell anyone, but I think my Aiwa sounds better than the Sonys, but what do I know.
