NAKAMICHI / SHEFFIELD REFERENCE RECORDING SERIES

By special arrangement with Sheffield Lab, we have combined Sheffield's superb engineering, recording and mastering skills with Nakamichi's exceptional cassette technology to bring you the finest real-time, analog-to-analog transfer of pre-recorded material possible today.

These cassettes are produced from Sheffield Lab's own live, un-edited 2-track analog master tapes recorded simultaneously with the original direct disc performances. The cassettes were duplicated in real time from 30 inch-per-second, 1/2 inch tape and transferred through playback equipment containing Sheffield Lab's own proprietary electronics.

Our objective is to bring you the finest in both analog and digital recorded materials in our Reference Recording Series so that you may judge for yourself the relative merits of these two recording techniques.

Your Nakamichi Reference Recording has unprecedented response and dynamic range. A fine deck will reveal its full potential. If your cassette does not live up to your expectations, may we suggest you audition it on Nakamichi equipment at your local Nakamichi dealer.
