This Walkman was first released in 1984 and is the successor of Sony's iconic WM-DD Walkman of 1982. Dolby B noise reduction was added as main new feature, compared to the predecessor. The metal housing has the same dimensions. The DDII shares the main PCB with the much rare DD-100 (Boodokhan), released in 1985. The center gear of most of the DD series has cracked over time, which is detrimental to the mechanism. In 2021, the center gear was repaired in the Netherlands. The serial number of the unit is 238 333. The battery compartment is clean, and shows no signs of battery leakage in the past. Due to the age, it has minor surface scratches. However, the clear cassette window is not cracked. Shipping from the Netherlands.
