Just saw this on Gizmodo https://gizmodo.com/amazon-alexa-voice-assistant-big-tech-1849830596 I hate all the gadgets that constantly listen or TVs that have cameras on me so I never adopted any voice assistants. I had several friends that were early users but now that I think of it, I haven't seen one used in the last few years.
We had all of the cool science fiction movies in the 70's where the tech looked awesome but in the movies where it was wired into a central computer, it always spelled doom for the human race. I don't even like talking into my remotes, it's easier to hit a button unless your looking for a specific long title.
Never understood why people think it's easier to say "Alexa, kitchen light on" rather than simply flicking the switch
I put a bit of tape over my laptop camera and just picked up the Samsung S22 and the bloody Google ASSistant kept on interupting my tunes....so Inhad to hunt to turn that off....love tech but not the controlling spying type.....
