I just joined stereo2go and boomboxery after lurking for a few years and am excited to finally be a member of each.

I've been collecting boomboxes since 2009, when I began experiencing Gen X nostalgia for them. I've also spent some time searching through newspapers, magazines, books, and online resources for old boombox-related articles, photographs, and advertisements. I thought I might share some of those things (if they're not redundant) in the archaeology thread.

    Thanks for having me.

Please post more stuff! Don't worry about duplicating, I do it by accident all the time, it's hard to keep track of everything. And just when you think it's original, you find it was posted years ago in the Old_forum section.

Hopefully people are finding the information interesting, I love combing through the old papers and magazines and reading the articles.,

Cool. I haven't heard any of the newer boxes but the Kaboom is supposed to sound good. I will post a picture of my small collection soon. Do the same if you can.

Here is my BoomBlasters :D Two of them is from the 90s but last is from 2020 (solid black no stickers) I think the 90s have more caracter then the new version JVC made.

I bet they're loud! You're right, the 90s models are more interesting to look at.

You should post pictures of your tape decks, Retro. I don't own any but love looking at the old ones from the 1970s and 1980s.
