Hey everybody! I’ve been lurking for a few months now and I finally managed to grab my first everyday Walkman. Unfortunately after a few hours I’ve encountered problems so I decided to come here, where I’ve learned everything that I know about these beauties. In short, my supply wheel just popped out. First it was not reversing, after I opened it the spring managed to push the reel right out. I’m looking for any suggestions on what to do right now. I haven’t encountered an issue like that with these EX mechanism models but I might have missed some. It’s a beautiful model with all of the caps replaced so most of the difficult fixes are already done. Next are some pictures about the problem. As you can see the spring is holding up the supply reel, it’s not connected whatsoever to the mechanism underneath. Basically nothing works. No play, reverse or forward.
