And this is Monday's Ebay purchase collected last night. Sony FH-818R. Needs a good clean but in very nice condition underneath. No deep scratches or dented speaker grills. I've been looking for a decent one of these as I already have the FH-909.

Very luckily this one was less than three miles from my home and on the same road as one of my friends so I visited them too.

Tape B not working and Tape A working but with very dull sound. Will hopefully be a lot better when I clean all the dust out!

Yes T-ster, it's complete and the seller had put batteries in. The radio worked and the cassette was spinning too, though I've not put in a cassette yet as it's full of dust. Interesting little thing but quite basic, the radio did sound nice and had clean reception.
Also picked up a Panasonic "Cobra", which is in the car so i'll post a pic later. It was £2 so may or may not work but looked ok generally.

Lastly, a new pair of old Sony MDR-A34 headphones.

After searching since last Autumn I've finally managed to buy this remote for my Sony FH-909 which had been listed on Ebay. So pleased people think to do that with random remote's they come across. It cost me nearly 150% more than the FH-909 did but I got the system for only ten pounds :) Extra happy day for me! Still need the handle and brackets for the speakers if anyone can assist. Screenshot_2017-05-03-18-36-59.jpg

Didn't update last week as my finds were more hifi seperates than boxes, Walkmans or Discmans but this week brought a real heavy monster in the form of this Panny RX-DT707. Tapes are slow and muffled but rest is spot on bar missing aerial. Couple of dents in grills which i will attack another day when I'm less tired.
    This thing is long!

Classy! :nodding: This Cobra is one of the best one-piecers from 90s. I had RX-DT909.

    Damn, thats a cool find!.

I know they are 90's boxes and they dont always get a lot of love but i haven't had a cobra top which didn't sound awesome, I have a nice minty DT75 at the mo and i love it.

Wow, just looked at a pic of a DT-75 and it's even bigger! Must weigh a ton!
They do have a nice sound. Does it have logic Cassette? Mine doesn't and I think it would have been better for it as overall, it does have a quality look to it. I quite like the matt grey colour as a change from the normal black of the 90's unit.
