The unit’s exterior unfortunately does not age very well, similar to the Sony NW-HD1.
Did you record in SP mode? And from which source?

Yes it's a shame the black reacted in this way. Have tried improving the look even trying a rubber but no luck. As I no longer have any of my recording equipment I used the Sony D-EJ01 on to the Sony MZR-55 Mini disc recorder. I have found the 55 makes some descent recordings. Sometimes I used theMZR-91. Optical connection and always recorded in SP.

I bought it back in the late nineties from Dixons in Solihull. Loved to look and shop in Dixons years ago before they all closed down. Both the Titanic and Phil Collins pre-recorded mini discs sound very good.

I don't know if anyone ever compared wave-forms for various pre-recorded media, that would be a cool project. There is a website that lists the best recorded versions but I don't remember what they list and I can't find the site right now.

People have said that the sound quality of pre-recorded discs were not good. Maybe some were good and others not so good. I only have the two and these sound very good. I suppose it depended on the recording equipment and also the play back devices. The wave form idea sounds interesting.

MiniDisc... WOW! How long have MiniDiscs been discussed on ST2G (being that I hardly visit anymore)? Just kinda noticed that an MiniDisc is represented on the top page, right after the B-boox with the G O as speakers.

Quick question, you guy have seen my B-box GF9595 MD player?

Hey Brian, thanks for posting your boombox, I'm still looking for a square old-school looking BBX that had MD, I distinctly remember them at our local Best Buy when MD first appeared but have yet to find one. Your's is about the closet I've seen to it.

Feel free to post any MD stuff, we love it all, there's some car stereo threads as well if you have any vintage equiment.
