They're not willing to hurt their reputation by selling such low-quality tape mechanisms. They might agree to sell a good quality one, but they don't because they know very few people would buy it. I know you guys think there's a lot of walkman enthusiasts, but there's probably only a few thousand of them. That's not enough for a big brand name company, IMO
never bought low quality only when i had no choice, better to have a few good quality units than a pile of trash lol
at least the sony bean has rewind, never seen or heard of the bean walkman before here is a sony bean boxed mp3 player https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/325751450579?hash=item4bd84cabd3:g:jMEAAOSwYHxkxsWE&amdata=enc:AQAIAAAAwO+UG0/M+Oyj41pU8HG6dROzLlCz26eaRoj44EUA4aqFlcwBr9Eaydolk7cJjofghr/r+6l1yrzjaxOVukwfONdfsolWDileSUTF3DFRk9y0xAC+ZOyM1xrQzyMgavY69eSFgoYSM8B2XW1a8qGzJM+EXrHIbScYf++UEv1vhhhmM1tFNE5psTv7+tgcAglP1JU58d75fhQT/cyQ7EGWLbLItsWkwRaESBpd/bF0BuKDZ9wYCPSe8F64Qstkc8zs9Q==|tkp:Bk9SR9Dnqu_NYg
Exactly. I think there’s people hoping Sony will make one but they won’t, the market is way too small. Have a look at their whole stereo components for sale, and portables. It’s hardly much of a range so no way is a cassette Walkman on the cards.
I was referring to back in the day they should have had more crazy-shaped models, 99% were rectangles......
Sony was so big they could justify taking risks and being the trend-setter. Even back in the late 70s, their boombox range was very unique, with interesting styling and architecture. They didn't copy other brands. And then around 1990 they came out with waterproof "Sports" boomboxes, which other brands tried to copy but failed miserably.
This is the Fair Mate Rhythm Machine, I've posted some ads in the newspaper ad thread. It has MIC and Guitar Mixing, I'm assuming it will do a beat for you that you can either record or use while on the street corner looking for some change. Anybody have one of these? I don't own any Fair Mate Equipment, some look fairly nice, some looks mass-produced so I can't vouch on the quality of this. https://www.etsy.com/listing/1460135010/fair-mate-rhythm-machine-cr-390-cassette?
yes they could have put a pair of nipples on a walkman with speakers and called it the madonna walkman and made millions lol or how about the barbie walkman lol they also could make a walkman or phone now for a certain gender and call it the transman lol millions to be made my man get on it haha
Someone should swoop this up. I know for a fact he'd take $120 for it, because he sent an offer. It just needs some tape residue removed from the keys and the tuner window. And a new tuner light bulb, as he told me that's dead. hi-fi stereo mini comp Aimor AT AA AD-708 in case “READ” Boombox 1980s Portable | eBay
Beat It! portable. is it really worth $819? Looks like a cheap junk model to me. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/1759055...Eq1r5uUR8-&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
