Just wanted to post about the fantasic service i got from the member Valentin. She totally serviced and repaired my Toshiba KT-AS10 back to fantastic working condition. Wanted to put it out there about his professional service and keeping me informed at every stage of the repair.
It looks awesome with the metal tape (no pun intended) it in the unit. Happy to read @Valentin was able to bring this one back to life as well!
I can only say superlatives for what Valentin do to service walkmans. He even made my PX101 almost working fully when what I was asking was installing a spring. It will go to Valentin again, now for full service, with bunch of walkman friends. And some of my walkmans are now serviced by him. I will surely a post about his repairs, but I didn't want to comment with only one walkman (which I didn't ask for service to that extent). This Toshiba looks nice with this tape, though I'm not a fan of tape being partly outside
I've heard there are somebgood technicans in UK too. Deb64 (though she repair D6C, don't know what else) for example. If you repair D6C i thinknall the rest is piece of cake.
Yes she can fix other units too, just got a DC2 back from her and an interconnect for hooking up my Walkman line-out to my portable external amp. She has fixed other electronic bits for me in the past. Best thing is always to send her an email asking the question and she will get back to you saying what she can or can't do.
Vat maybe an issue. You probably could somehow ask customs how to send thongs to EU for repair not to pay Vat for it when it will be back to UK.
