You asked for it so here it comes at your monitors for a 6th season and by popular demand (Brutus yes its you that asked for it! ) only at S2GO every second Saturday and Sunday late at night . The Market Tour ala Deech , stay tuned.. Suitable for all audiences.
Love these market threads That one in picture 19...........I want that one badly!! If you are able to get it mate I will of course send you the funds plus postage to me?
Hell yeah great start to the season and once again Deech spots more in one day than most of us do in a boot sale season! I had a good day today and got some vintage Sansui headphones and a couple of walkmans (low end) but the only boomer i saw was a Alba tv/cassette thing. Yuck. Keep em coming D!
I wish we had stuff like that around here. The closest thing to excitement around this neck of the woods are broken alarm clocks, lamps without shades and curling irons. Same goes for local Goodwill stores around here. I'd be in heaven to come across these. Excellent for sure This is no joke. While poking around in my Goodwill store I found the lid to a peanut jar with a 35 cent price tag on it. REALLY? They're trying to literally sell the yellow plastic screw on lid to a planters peanut jar. And the jar is MIA. Probably wanted 10 bucks for that and it got broken.
I would've blagged the Sanyo mini near the end and the D8614...fab to see so many radios tho! I spotted a Sharp GF7700 in a charity shop at the weekend but they'd stuck a label saying vintage on it along with an £80 price tag lol
Love deech's posts, there some of the best on here, in one day deech spots more than i have in a life time, god bless Deech lad
This is what I've been waiting for! I think Transistorized and I shop at the same chain of re-use stores. I only see plastic portable CD players and and cameras that still take 110 film? The peanut butter jar story killed me! In fact Deech's finds are killing me...slowly...with jealousy
Nick at pic 19 , are you saying the Hitachi TRK-8000 ? If yes i will try and pick it up this coming weekend if its still up for sale. Will gladly send it over. Thanks for the warm comments to all, if course i will keep them coming I feel like an acrobat sometimes when taking pics of the units ! Its not that easy as it seems because you have to get up early and take pics one handed , upside down, reverse etc etc !!
Wow, I love that Pioneer! Amazing what is valuable somewhere is a flea-market walk-by somewhere else.
Interesting to see an NEC boombox there. I remember seeing some NEC Betamax VCRs but they were never big in Comsumer electronics. In contrast in the late 1980s they were they biggest semiconductor manufacturer in the world - bigger than Intel. I did notice that a streetside Cellphone base unit near work was labelled Siemens NEC so they are obviously still around.
Season 6 Episode 1 Suitable for all audiences. Dear Collectors as promised every 2nd Saturday or Sunday there are going to be posted pics from the Market for all to enjoy. So here comes the first episode !
Very interesting as always. I am wondering what's a make of this W-cassette box with FD signs on grills a-la Sharp WF-939?
All aboard the jealousy train.......whoo whooo! Deech.....I'm lost for words! I do like that Sharp GF 4500. Did you pick any of them up during your stroll?
