Doing my bit for charities at Christmas


This Boots PSX200 was a buy it now for less than £10 plus postage from a Charity Shop on eBay.
It turned up on Saturday by it seemed more appropriate to open in today.

The stereo an unusual combination of Dolby and Made in China. Were the Chinese adding Dolby after Sony and others had dropped it ?
For those outside the U.K. Boots is a large chain of chemists who, until they were bought by Walgreens had ambitions to be a department store.
Surprisingly the stereo works, although wow and flutter suggests a service could be beneficial.

I'm sure there must be an AKA of this stereo. Apart from other eBay listings
It runs off 2 x AAA batteries and has a metal mechanism inside.
The tape is 1990. Do you think the player is older or newer ?
