Hi Everyone, I posted this in my welcome channel but thought i'd add it here too. I have a current issue on my WM-F102 walkman. All works well apart from the face doesnt close properly. It's missing the lock bit. The piece doesnt appear to be in the service manual. This is the screenshot from it. You can see in the attached screenshot the part is missing. CAN ANYONE HELP? Shimrap
i have a f100 lying around with this same locking piece, man i cant even manage to get this little thing out. whatever is holding it in is super strong anyways, my main source being "i eyeballed it" and got some rough measurements from my caliper with it still in place, i got a rough model of it and it should be pretty close this is going to require a resin printer since its so small, but if you know someone or a local library that has one you should be good https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/12CWIhvwz6tGh_oz6ZHIJBQz3LWTDLMuI?usp=sharing beats having to get a parts unit off ebay anyways
Thanks Squiggly! I'll try and find someone who knows how to 3D print and has a resin printer Would love as a backup to know from anyone on this forum what this part is? or anyone who has the spare part.
your best bet would be getting a donor off ebay. its just a latch that isnt meant to be taken off so you likely arent going to find a part number for it (as its meant to be in unison with the case lid) its probably a little minor-ly incorrect in some areas but i think its accurate enough to work with a little fine tuning (sanding then gluing it in place) best of luck with it though
