    Hey all,

I tried to resurrect my old wm7.
    I replaced the belt.

however now the volume coming out of the right earphone is very low compared to the left.
Also it sounds a bit wavy. Hard to explain.

lastly in reverse play mode I can hear a clunk every so often when it plays.

    Any ideas please?

guesswork mostly, but the "clunk" might just be from the old lubrication being dried up, without hearing the noise itself its really hard to tell though
volume could either be the head is tuned out of wack, volume pot, or the capacitors are going bad, doubt its the caps so id check the head and volume pot. if its only in one direction its certainly the head (since you can adjust both directions but its very finicky to get it right)
and the wavy effect is probably the pinch rollers, though thats just my guess based off you didnt mention servicing them
