Hello everyone my name is David,
I started my Walkman collection last year and has become my favorite source of music. I have bought many Walkmans with issues that have claimed to be fully repaired and I just found out a place like this exist.

I just purchased a dd30 that is said to have been repaired fully but I notice some tapes or could be my Walkman make a garbled noise through the headphones when rewinding or fast forwarding. I was wondering if anyone knows the answer? Thank you David

I believe it's a standard function for those machines. It's serves as a search function. What you are hearing is actually tape playing a lot faster and a lot quieter so that you can find a particular moment on tape e.g. quiet part between tracks. My
    DD-III does the same thing.
