Does anyone have experience with opening the SONY APM-007AV? I would like to replace the foam as it has cracked and the bass sounds very back and I can only play music at a quite low volume to have a good sound. But I don't have experience in this field and would like to understand how to open the box and reveal the speaker insides. Thanks. Welcome to the forum! Sorry I don't have a pair of those and can't help you. There might be some foam resellers out there, I know in the early days of the forum people were hand making the surrounds, you may find threads in the Old_Forum Section.
Hi! Thanks for your answer. Foams seems are available nowadays on eBay for this speaker model, so that wouldn't be a problem apparently. My. concern is more about how to disassemble the speakers without causing damage. Was hoping to find someone with knowledge about this model to get some advice.
looking at them on google they have 4 holes in the back with the sony arrows (indicating screws) i imagine you just go at those with a long enough screwdriver and itll detach the face from the rear housing, but thats just my assumption
